By its very nature social tourism encourages participation in tourism by all, including persons who are economically or otherwise disadvantaged. Eta Le Rona exist to realise that and more.

We do this through subsidised schemes such as “holiday vouchers”, incentivised and discounted travel trips. At Eta Le Rona we see tourism participation as a universal benefit to all, including disadvantaged persons and also contributing to the greater tourism “exchange” and economic multiplier effect.

In achieving social tourism, Eta Le Rona has formed partnerships and collaboration initiatives with:

• Government, public entities and associations to make social tourism a reality in South Africa;
• Tourism establishments across the country to make travel affordable and easily accessible; and
• NGOs and NPOs for the successful implementation of social tourism.
